MY STORY/ MY MISSION
In May 2022, after a medical leave for Anxiety, I was forced to resign from my position as a child care support worker for almost 16 years. I lost my stable income, benefits, a sense of purpose, and a significant amount of my CSSB pension.
I did not feel psychologically and physically safe at work. Cumulative incidents on the job resulted in Anxiety and a diagnosis of PTSD.
I have been fighting for justice and remedy ever since, knowing that if I were to walk away, move on, and remain silent … what happened to me (Ingrid) will be done to someone else.
Justice is not free - it should be. Therefore, I am humbly asking for your help to complete my mission to bring about positive social change in the Manitoba Labour Relations Act, Workers' Compensation Act, Human Rights Code, and Workplace Safety and Health Act.
Your signature on the change.org petition and a contribution through PAYPAL - in any amount - will help me to fight for justice, legal, and systemic changes in Manitoba, where exclusive jurisdiction gives Unions and labour board arbitrators, in unionized workplaces, power over all disputes, including human rights complaints. In my experience, this exclusivity makes marginalized workers in unionized workplaces more vulnerable.
Your support encourages me to keep fighting the good fight and reminds me that every voice matters when creating positive social change.
Your support gives "a voice to the voiceless."
Thank you for your signature. Thank you for your contribution. Your support means a lot to me.
Much love and blessings to you and yours in 2026 and beyond.
